Suffolk Smart Beginnings Early Childhood Development Scholarship
The City of Suffolk Early Childhood Development Scholarship was established by the City of Suffolk to support Suffolk residents studying early childhood education. The scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books and fees. Multiple awards may be made dependent upon the number of applicants and available funds.
Criteria:
- Student must be enrolled in/declared a major in the Early Childhood Development program at TCC
- Student can be enrolled full-time or part-time
- Preference is given to residents of Suffolk, Virginia
- Student must be currently employed in-field, as demonstrated by employer letter(s) of reference for a regulated childcare facility (if self-employed as a Family Care Home Provider, the home must be licensed and parents/customers may provide the letter(s) of reference)

- By accepting this award, I understand that I must currently be employed and have provided the name and email address of someone willing to serve as a reference regarding your experience working in a regulated childcare facility or as a licensed family care home provider.

- I understand that the TCC Educational Foundation scholarships are not refundable to students. I understand that any unused scholarship funds at the end of each semester will not carry over to the next semester nor will be refunded to me. I understand that all unused funds will be returned to the TCC Educational Foundation.
